Field of action
- We monitor and publicize activities of organizations devoted to gender equity and equality in science.
- We encourage and offer assistance to IUIS member societies to undertake activities that promote gender equality.
- We compile and maintain a list of outstanding women immunologists around the world, both young and established scientists, to aid organizers of important international meetings in selecting women speakers and assuring representation.
- We support attendance of trainees with caregiver responsibilities at various courses.
- We organize educational and networking activities in association with IUIS member societies/ federations during their congresses.
- We organize the IUIS Excellence in Immunology Award (EXCELL) that specifically recognizes women and non-binary immunologists and their outstanding research accomplishments.
