ECC
The main goal of the Early Career Committee (ECC) is to actively foster and seek the implementation of the objectives and goals of the IUIS Junior Community (IUIS JC) in close collaboration with the IUIS council and the IUIS committees (see scheme). The ECC & IUIS JC aim to promote and connect Early Career Researchers at the international level, specifically focusing on low-resource settings.

Field of action
The ECC serves as the leading board of the IUIS Junior Community (JC), a network organized by and dedicated to early career immunologists which aims to promote and connect entry-level researchers on an international level in alignment with IUIS’ mission statement. The IUIS JC aims to foster diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI) in immunological research and to support traditionally underrepresented groups and women in science with a particular focus on the needs of early career researchers in low-resource settings.
The Chair and the Co-Chair will lead the committee. The ECC consists of up to two representatives from each regional federation (Young European Federation of Immunological Societies (yEFIS)), Federation of African Immunological Societies (FAIS), Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA), Latin American and Caribbean Association for Immunology (ALACI) as well as two representatives each from the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) and the Canadian Society for Immunology (CSI).
The IUIS, ECC, and JC are governed by their respective specific bylaws. The bylaws follow the general IUIS guidelines and are subject to change at the committee’s discretion.
