IUIS celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11

February 9, 2023

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 and has since been celebrated annually on February 11. The aim is to raise awareness of girls’ and women’s critical role in science and technology.

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we would like to remind all national societies/federations of the Competition4Ideas Campaign. Launched by the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) and its Gender Equality Committee (GEC), this fund aims to improve gender equality, particularly in career development support, access to funding and other resources at the national and international levels.
