The Immuno Cambodia Course, held in November 2025, offered an in-depth exploration of the complex interactions between arboviruses, their vectors (including mosquitoes and ticks), and vertebrate hosts. The programme focused on host–pathogen interactions and the innate and adaptive immune responses to arbovirus infections, highlighting their importance for the development of effective preventive and therapeutic strategies.
Through a balanced combination of scientific seminars and soft-skills workshops, participants engaged with key topics such as protective and immunopathological mechanisms, the role of the skin as an immune organ, genetic and comorbidity factors linked to severe disease, vaccine development, animal and human challenge models, and grant-writing skills.
