EPIGENETIC REGULATION OF IMMUNE RESPONSES
The “Immuno-India” workshop took place from October 1-6, 2023, at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Organized by the Indian Immunology Society in collaboration with IUIS and FIMSA, the workshop focused on the theme of “Epigenetic Regulation of Immune Responses.”
Throughout the course, participants delved into the fundamental mechanisms of epigenetic regulation and its implications for the immune system, with particular attention to its clinical relevance in autoimmunity, cancer, and infection. Additionally, the workshop provided hands-on sessions on various technologies used in epigenetic research, accompanied by practical demonstrations.
The workshop fostered a highly interactive environment, featuring roundtable discussions, poster presentations, and specialized training in grant writing. By bringing together both students and seasoned faculty members, the event aimed to support the career development of early-career scientists in the field of immunology.
Overall, the “Immuno-India” workshop provided a comprehensive platform for participants to deepen their understanding of epigenetic mechanisms in immunology and to facilitate networking and skill development crucial for advancing their careers in the field.
