The 7th CSI Recent Advances Workshop was held during December 11th to 13th, 2020 in Guiyang, Guizhou Provence. It was co-hosted by Guizhou Medical University and Guizhou Society of Immunology. Recommended by CSI council members and provincial immunological societies, total 486 PhD students, postdocs and young researchers attended the workshop. Not only the registration fees but also lunches and tea breaks during the workshop for all participants were fully sponsored by CSI. 24 leading immunologists, including Prof. Xuetao Cao (General Secretary of FIMSA and CSI), Prof. Yuzhang Wu (President of CSI), CSI Vice Presidents (Prof. Bing Sun, Prof. Zhi Yao, Prof. Li Wu, Prof. Yiwei Chu and Prof. Bo Huang) and experts from CSI committees were invited to give lectures on their respective hot fields.

In 2020 CSI initiated a new training course besides the current 4 ones: CSI Advanced Course of Cancer Immunotherapy. This course aims to provide a new platform to support translational research in tumor biology and tumor immunology by covering topics from basic theories to technological breakthroughs and clinical success in the treatment of cancer immunotherapy. Despite the complex COVID-19 situation, CSI nevertheless launched the 1st CSI Advanced Course of Cancer Immunotherapy in Beijing during November 8th to 9th. The selected 21 lectures in two days attracted over 150 trainees. As a promising start for a new serial training course, the academic committee is already working on a more exciting curriculum for the next year.
