IUIS and EFIS are proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Day of Immunology (DoI) Awards, honoring outstanding campaigns that creatively and effectively raised public awareness about the importance of immunology — with a special spotlight this year on the connection between brain and the immune system.
With the 2025 theme “Brain and Immunity: Immunological Insights into Neurological Disorders,” this year’s campaigns brought the science to life by highlighting how immune responses shape neurological health and disease. From public lectures and creative media to hands-on outreach and community events, IUIS Member Societies and early career groups engaged diverse audiences around the globe to demonstrate how immunology is transforming our understanding of conditions like Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, and beyond.
At a time when science is being challenged and public trust is under strain, these efforts are more than celebratory — they are acts of science advocacy. Through education and outreach, these initiatives remind the world that immunology is not only saving lives, but also unlocking the mysteries of the brain.
