IUIS and EFIS invite all international societies to join us this year to honor the Day of Immunology on April 29. This year’s topic is “Brain and Immunity: Immunological Insights into Neurological Disorders.”
Today it has become clear that there is a strong interaction between the immune system and the brain. The immune system triggers neurological disease but at the same time helps to cure the disease. On the Day of Immunology 2025, we will explore the functional role of the nervous system in immunity and also discuss the immunological mechanisms and treatment options for rapidly increasing non-communicable neurological diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer disease. Environmental factors ranging from infections to the gut microbiota may have substantial impact on both disease and cure.

2025 Day of Immunology Awards
In addition to the webinar, we once again call for campaigns to raise awareness on the critical topic of neuroimmunology. Your participation is the key to spreading knowledge and fostering health practices.

Similar to last year, we will have Day of Immunology European Award and Day of Immunology International Award. Each award will honor three societies who run most outstanding awareness campaigns. The awards will be as follows:
– Day of Immunology European Award, by EFIS: EUR 3,000, EUR 2,000, and EUR 1,000 to the first, second and third most impactful campaigns
– Day of Immunology International Award, by IUIS: EUR 3,000, EUR 2,000, and EUR 1,000 to the first, second and third most impactful campaigns
