Fostering the next generation of brilliant minds in immunological research and steering the future of the field are aims of the newly minted IUIS Junior Community. This research topic aims to outline the trajectory of state-of-the art immunological research by showcasing the diversity and breadth of work conducted by up-and-coming immunologists around the globe. Led by Drs. Noushin Mossadegh-Keller and Anne Hahn, IUIS Early Career Committee Chairs, this collection provides a platform to share innovative work and ideas as well as highlighting emerging concepts in immunology and its intersections with biomedical research and public health. We are particularly welcoming contributions harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as ‘omics technologies or machine learning as well as work that is opening novel research avenues for the coming decade. Submissions are encouraged from the entire breadth of immunological research spanning fundamental, applied, translational or clinical studies.

This research topic offers early career immunologists to gain experiences as corresponding authors. Corresponding authors of each submission shall fall within the definition of early career immunologists as defined by the IUIS Junior Community.
