Each year on November 10, the world celebrates World Science Day for Peace and Development, recognizing the vital role of science in fostering peace, sustainability, and well being. This year’s theme is: Trust, Transformation, and Tomorrow: The Science We Need for 2050
Proclaimed by UNESCO in 2001 following the World Conference on Science in Budapest, the Day highlights science as a global public good and a foundation for a fair and sustainable future.
Echoing the IUIS vision of “Immunology without Borders,” this year’s theme—Trust, Transformation, and Tomorrow—reminds us that science transcends boundaries and builds a better future for all.
How to Participate:
Organize or join an event, big or small. Activities may include symposia, lectures, classroom discussions, online dialogues, film screenings, art-science collaborations, podcasts, quizzes, or lab visits. All registered activities will appear on the ISC’s global map of events, making them accessible to participants everywhere. Please feel invited to log your event even if some logistical elements are not yet confirmed. You can add more information to your entry at any time.
We invite all of our members to log their events. Together, let’s showcase how science can build trust, enable transformation, and prepare us for tomorrow.
